-New coolantWith the Kei car craze starting to ramp up. This is the best of the 3. In my opionion the Alto Works is the most comfortable, enjoyable and useable out of the bunch. AND Its AWD. With a factory 63 hp(same as all the Keis) It is a blast to drive! Due to the N2 turbo kit this car in particular has an (estimated) 75-80 HP and is capable of 100HP with a boost controller. I have only ran the kit at wastegate pressure(roughly 12psi) Even on low boost it is quicker than it was on the stock turbo at almost 20 PSI!! It also puts some good length on my friends stock cappuccino. I do not plan to raise the boost as it would likely require a new clutch to do reliably.
It really is a joy to drive. It has a suprising amount of space and storage in the cabin. And can comfortably seat 4 if needed. When driving it you feel like you are in any “normal” car. Aside from the stares(you get a ton) It really can be driven every day. I’ve been stopped by curious fans more times in this car than any other cars ive owned/driven (some being GTRs, lamborghinis, R8s etc). Its one of those cars that even normal everyday people cant help but stare and ask questions. Kids love it! Adults love it!
The best thing about this car is its agility. It doesnt need a ton of power to enjoy. In fact. I bet a lot of power would ruin the feel. Tossing this car in and out of corners would bring a smile to even the most experienced drivers face! It is just plain addicting. It has enough power to get out of its own way and its featherlight stature is just amazing. I have had more fun going slow in this car than I have had in ANY OTHER VEHICLE.
The exterior. This car is not a show car. Its a driver. It has its fair share of blemishes. That does NOT mean its a piece of crap. The cars chassis is solid only showing minor surface rust underneath(it is very common for these. Can easily be brushed away and undercoated in a days worth of work). No signs of any accidents. Suspension is in good shape also showing minor surface corrosion. The windshield has a chip/crack someone has removed some of the decals on the body. The previous owner seems to have had some fender flares installed. there are small holes in the fenders that have been touched up. If youre a stickler for the details. It needs very minor body work and a quick paint job to be perfect.
Interior is a 9/10 with the only issue being a small tear in the drivers seat(shown in photos). Everything else is pretty much immaculate.
Mechanically the car runs and drives really good. Shifts amazing and revs to the moon! Its a blast! The clutch grabs great and shows no signs of wear while driving. The coilovers make a bit of noise(as do most coilovers) and the front left wheel bearing tends to make some humming(comes and goes). Engine is strong. No smoke. The car needs tires. They work but are old.
Air conditioning works as does everything else.
I am selling this car because I traded my motorcycle for it and although its nearly the same size i have no room to store this car indoors and in all honesty could use the cash. Id love to keep it but I have 3 other cars at the moment and this one is the one that makes the least sense for me. Feel free to message me with questions/comments. “
