$800 – Loveland, CO:
“I want to put a strong emphasis on this being a project car. That being said, it does run. But it does not have an emissions test and has some issues. So it is in the process of being worked on but frankly I got a newer car and I’m tired of fucking with it. I have lots of new parts.
Pro’s :
*Brand New Exhaust from manifold to muffler
-Pacesetter Headers
-OBX Catback
-New 02 Sensors installed.*Lowered on CXRacing Coils. I have an ebay front strut bar, I didn’t care for how it looked or was made but I’ll throw it in if you want it.
-New Ignition Coils and Plugs installed less than 1,000 miles ago
-New Coolant Expansion Tank
-New Radiator Hoses
-New Cam(Intake&Exhaust) Sensors, Crankshaft Sensors NOT INSTALLED
-New intake boot, airbox assembly, K&N Filter.I also have a used (but in good condition) engine wiring harness, SAP Solenoid Valve (SAP is blocked off currently). Gaskets, a couple window regulators (2/4 windows work currently, one is down with a bad motor, the other is locked upwards)
Now for the bad :
The previous owner had a catless manifold on the car previously and appears to have removed the connectors for the O2 sensor, I am taking off the intake manifold because the wiring for the 02 sensors goes underneath the manifold. The manifold is not entirely off yet, because I was working on it and it started raining so I was like nah. So long story short the car is not currently passing an emissions test, because I cannot connect all of the 02 sensors. My disabling the SAP seems to have also affected the 02 sensors, because apparently there is a relay that is activated that allows the 02 sensors to function when the SAP is turned off. I have everything that you would need to reattach the SAP.The CCV system is faulty and you will need to install the new one. You will blow the motor if you do not. I have one and will sell it with the car. It is under the intake manifold, which is another reason for me removing it.
The interior of the car is disgusting. all the seats are ripped and dirty and the floor is just as bad. There is missing trim. The AC Blower is faulty and does not turn off when the car is off (common fault, short to power in motor, must be replaced).
The motor has @220,000 on the clock and even with the faulty 02 sensors it revs out nice and smooth. Because the car is so low you absolutely need to install adjustable LCA’s. This car is NOT SAFE on the highway. I am serious. It is very hard to control.
The rear passenger door does not open. I don’t know what’s wrong. I replaced the motor on that door and had full access to the door latch assembly and no amount of prying and pulling was accomplishing anything. I think essentially that possibly the lock itself is broken, and that the child lock may be on. A combination of the two. The hood latch does not work/the handle is not there. Can be opened with pliers.
So basically this car needs alot of attention and love that I just don’t have anymore. It could be a great car for someone with lots of time to invest. The car is located in Loveland. I just want to stress this is a project car. This is not a quick fixer upper for someone looking for a cheap car. I put alot of money into trying to get this car going but I’ve had it I’m throwing in the towel. “
