$40,000 – Fountain Valley, CA:

“I’m selling my 1989 Unimog 435 (U1300L) short DOKA. This big body Unimog is extremely rare in the US. I only know of one other short DOKA in the US and its located in the NorthEast.

I imported the Mog legally when working in Massachusetts. It came from a small village in the south of France that had it as a volunteer brush fire truck. Consequently it only has 23800 kilometers (14800 miles!). It has the venerable om352 diesel engine in it. This is a no fuss incredibly durable engine that has been used all over the world and should do 500k before needing a rebuild! The full system is not electrical and fully mechanical so the truck could run even in an apocalypse. It has space for three in the front of the cabin and two in the rear. It has 8 speeds forward and 8 in reverse! Though its top speed is only approx 60 mph. Its meant to work no go fast but with new gears can hit 75 mph. Please do your research….. this is a great deal for a very rare truck already in the US. I’ve seen people asking $40k for ex-military regular cabs that aren’t nearly as rare or in good shape.

NOTE: This is a 49 state vehicle. Do to California’s ridiculous laws that supersede federal law it cannot be legally registered for on highway use. That being said it can be registered in any of the other 49 states if you have property their or live in the state (great for Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, etc). There is one loophole but it would require the engine to be swapped with a US spec diesel engine 1989 or newer like a 5.9 cummins.
