“1974 Volkswagen 412 2 door station wagon. I’ve had this car for quite some time slowly accumulating parts and pieces to make it one of a kind. The body and paint was done a few years back and it is the original pearl blue. the inside of the bonnet has not been touched and it is all original to give you an idea of the condition of this car. For as old and as rare as it is, it’s in pretty good condition. As far as I know there were only 1,250 of these 74 2 door wagons ever made. It has a Porsche 1.8l port fuel injected engine with a 3 speed automatic transmission. I have recently replaced the master cylinder and fuel pump. It sports some aftermarket power seats that are in good condition and the electrical movement works on them. The milage to me is unknown as the odometer is not working. The roof rack is an original vw roof rack but is off of a type 3 squareback. I have removed the linear aluminum lattice and replaced it with stained oak. The front license plate mount has been shaved as well as the front turn markers. If you look at how gaudy they made this vehicle you will understand why I did what I did. Overall this will likely be the best looking 412 you will ever look at and surely the nicest one I’ve seen because I’ve only ever seen 2 others on the road in my life….and I don’t miss spotting a VW. This is by no means a show car and definitely still has some things that could be finished on it to make it a truly nice car. Open to offers
