“Up for sale is my ’89 FJ62 Land Cruiser with 284k miles. The factory A440F automatic transmission has been removed and replaced with a H42 4 speed manual transmission from a 1986 FJ60. The stock 62 electronic transfer case was also swapped with a ’86 FJ60 split transfer case that is all manually operated. The 4 speed swap along with the 4.10 gears really wakes up the 3FE engine and is a lot more enjoyable to drive around town. Mechanically, this cruiser is in great shape and everything electronically works (minus the antenna). This 62 has factory power windows, door locks and mirrors.
There is a 2.5” Old Man Emu (OME) heavy suspension lift installed with 33×10.50×15 BFG All Terrain tires.
The interior is in excellent shape, I would rate it 9/10. There are no tears or holes in any of the factory seats and the carpet and headliner are in great shape too. The dash does not have any cracks.
This landcruiser has lived most of its previous life up north, so it does have rust on the body and undercarriage. My plan was to clean up the frame and axles and take care of the rust, but due to a job promotion and relocation I’m having to get rid of some of my hobbies before we move. Mechanically and all of the interior are in excellent shape, so this will make a great project for someone.
