“Selling my 85 ‘vert for $2,750, FIRM. CAN BE DAILY DRIVEN… Before I get started, she will need a top, like yesterday. NEEDS A TOP. NEEDS A TOP. AND I HAVE A THICK FOLDER WITH RECEIPTS AND ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING. Much of the following has lifetime warranties through various parts stores. (Mostly Oreilly Auto) Currently has 01 Cobra wheels on the rear where I’ve started the 5 lug swap. Will come with all 4 of the 16 inch ponies and the front two Cobra wheels.
Has a reman. flat tappet H.O. 302 that I put in 3ish years ago with pictures and receipts, purchased from Oreillys. Intake gasket leaking a little oil in the front and rear where I didn’t seal it well. Has a Summit Racing 600 CFM Holley-style carb. Doesnt smoke, knock, tick, overheat, misfire, etc. Can attach vacuum gauge if required.
Has a C6 transmission that shifts perfect. Doesnt have a kickdown hooked up, but I do have the parts to install one. Trans pan leaks a little, but will come with a filter and gasket kit. Has a B&M shifter.
The rear end is a 7.5 with a locker and 3.73 gears. Have pics to prove the ratio. I’ve 5 lug swapped the rear already and havent made it to the front yet. The rear has 01 Cobra wheels on it. The other two for the front will come with the car. The rear ends roars a little, but it hasnt gotten worse since I purchased the car in 2011.
The interior is in great shape. Just replaced the carpet a few weeks ago with new grey molded carpet. Recovered the seats, and installed new dash pad. A/C works as it should. Heat does as well. Remoced the console where previous owner cut it, but it will come with the car. The gauges work. The speedometer is way off from the trans gearing and rear end. The car came 5 speed and the clutch pedal is still in it.
The exterior is in good shape, with one dent. Someone let a buggy bump into it and left a small dent in the passenger rear fender arch. The paint isn’t the best on the black trim pieces, but the white portions are acceptable. Has a crack running up the windshield on the driver side. Was like that when I bought it. The passenger outside door latch is broken, but it will come with brand new ones to install. Will also come with a second trunk lid.
