“1970 Siata Spring. Bet you haven’t seen one of these for a while…if ever! Rare Fiat 850-based car built in very small numbers by Siata family…production over the course of 2-3 years only. This little car was designed to somewhat resemble the old MGA and TR-3.
This car is in SACRAMENTO, Ca. It is a classic. And a rare one at that!!!
This is a PROJECT car. NO ENGINE (you will have to find a replacement). Other than missing engine, this car is 90% complete. Some rust (psgr. floorboard) but entirely manageable. In pretty good shape, really, for full restoration. Looking for $1,650 b/o.
I generally do my own restore and would have completed restoration (this car excellent candidate) except suffered back/neck injury that prevents such work. I began removal of fuel tank (to clean it out, possibly re-line it) the day prior to injury. Far as I know fuel tank is good; looks good and solid.
As my ad states, this car comes with NO ENGINE. Others have been confused. Picture was taken before I removed engine. Engine was rusted; would have cost much more than project was worth, hence scrapped.
I run across engines all the time. You can find one for $200-400…or free if you get lucky! Ran across one recently in Portland Craigslist.
Missing parts: canvas top, battery, door hinge (driver), front hood hinges (2), spare tire, jack, lug wrench, window curtains .Everything else either presently on the car or in boxes.
Parts included in sale: seats (need upholstery), radiator, fuel tank, transmission, front bumper (needs re-chroming), convertible frame (no rag-top), wheel caps, gas cap. All decorative chrome intact and in really good condition.
I would like to see it gets a good home as this car is entirely worthy of restoring! I found it worthy of bringing back 100% and I think you will believe so too.
Couple Options: Restore to 100% original. Or….go Electric!
