“1955 Packard 2 door hardtop. Top model for the Clipper hardtop. Options on this car include the larger 352 V8 engine, electric adjustable torsion bar suspension and power antenna. I have owned it for at least three years. I bought it out of southern Illinois as a winter project but never got to it. I am downsizing and need to sell this car. I have not driven the car. I have run it and moved it under it’s own power around my property, but the brakes need work and are not working. It will run with new battery cables, a new battery and fresh gas. Gas tank is out of the car and cleaned out, ready to put back in. When I ran it, the motor sounded good, but it will need a tuneup and carb clean or rebuild. It is not a rusty car but does have some rust in the front corners of the front floors and a small amount in the rear quarters. The floors and trunk are solid for the most part. It will be not be a car needing major metal replacement. No salt rot. Car is 99% complete. It is missing one piece of trim, about 2” long, otherwise everything is here. The Cadillac “batwing” air cleaner that they put on these cars is also with the car. Clear title.
PRICE IS $3500 CASH or $4000 in trade. I will NOT consider any less than $3500 cash on this car. If you want to trade, send photos and details on what you have. I am NOT interested in trades for anything needing work or anything rusty. Motorcycles, boom sticks, campers, enclosed trailers, tractors, cargo van or ? I do not want to trade for your 20 year old car with 200K miles on it.
