“selling this very rare and desirable Subaru 360 sedan micro car. I purchased this car from an estate where the owner was placed in a care facility and no longer able to tend to all of his estate and assets. This car ONLY shows 14,000 miles which I would believe to be original as far as I can tell. With a factory top speed of 59 mph, would you really want to drive all the time, lol.
It has a 2cycle/2 cylinder original engine. The tops on these are fiberglass and can be fully removed (including rear window) to make a convertible.
The body appears to have been painted somewhere in it’s 48 year old life and is in excellent condition. No visible rusts, scratches, dents, etc.. The upholstery is in excellent condition
The car was garaged and appears it probably has been all it’s life. It was last licensed in 2000 and has sat since. He had pulled batteries out of all the cars as well as the generator from this one (which I have), two of the wheels are frozen from sitting so long,
I fully intended on spending the time to finish what I believe is very minor repairs to get it back on the road but now realize I don’t have the time or passion.
A little bit of mechanic knowledge and the love of this car (which so many people seem to have), and this little jewel should be on the road in no time.
This car is complete as far as I can tell and would just need a battery which seem to be very available. I also see where folks are putting a modern day alternator on them to replace the old generators which is a inexpensive upgrade and which I would do if I decided to keep and get going.
I have seen these cars bring close and much more than this that are not in anywhere near this condition, so I believe this to be a very fair price. This is a rare find, especially for mileage and condition and I would love to see it go to a good home to someone with the passion for this vehicle and it’s history.
I can provide more pics to very interested parties and share what little knowledge I may have on the vehicle.
This car was obtained in this condition and has sat like this since, so I don’t have much more knowledge on it.
