“These old toyota sedans are pretty rare and this one still runs great for its age. I got this sedan from the second owner out in Emigrant, MT. It made the drive from Emigrant to Bozeman no problem at 75mph even up the livingston pass. This car has the 2.7L straight six cylinder 5me engine that runs strong with no weird noises. Leaks one drop of oil a day. Literally one drop a day. The interior is white cloth with auto windows and locks. The headliner isnt the greatest but it’s still there. Seats in good shape and no major tears. The body of the car is pretty straight with only a couple small dents. In really good shape overall for being such an old toyota. But they made these cars to last.
It runs and drives fine but there are a few things I have noticed that will need to be addressed eventually.
-Needs rear brakes replaced (Very cheap to fix)
-New windshield
-power steering pump has small leak
-needs new batteryThe only thing I have had to do to this car is charge the battery with a trickle charger one night. The battery is old so a new battery would help a ton.
This car has a lot of potential as it is already rear wheel drive and a straight six engine. If you swapped in a manual transmission this car would be a lot of fun. I already have project cars and this one needs a new home.
