“Up for sale is my 1993 Mitsubishi Delica Star Wagon. This is the L300 model with the 2.5 litre turbo-diesel engine (4D56), part-time four wheel drive, and low-range transfer case. Very rare model with the manual transmission. Eligible for import to the USA in July, next month. Located in Vancouver, BC.
The van drives great on pavement and on dirt roads. You might be surprised the places you can get to. Low miles and it’s in great shape. The tires are BF Goodrich A/T KO2s with plenty of tread – they’ve done about 8 700 miles (see picture). I’ve always given the van everything it needs and I can say it is mechanically tip-top. I have a stack of maintenance records from CVI Automotive, a BC shop that specialises in these vehicles, going back to 2011 (including from the previous owner). Since I bought the vehicle in April 2016, I have had the following done:
– New timing belt
– New balancer belt
– New water pump
– New shocks
– New brakes
– New four wheel drive shaft
– New transmission fluid
– New transfer case fluid
– New rear differential fluid
– New batteryThe van has some cosmetic issues, including a downward-angled rear bumper, surface rust on the front bumper (pictured), bent rear step bar, and a minor dent in the B-pillar (right side) where some rust has formed. As well, the front driver speaker is rattly. Overall the van is very clean, and mechanically tip-top.
