$900 – Bartlett, IL:
“Posting my 1983 Dodge 400, manual transmission. Have owned and operated this vehicle for over a year, put 12,000 miles on it personally, and she’s done me well. Good car with good bones. I’ll start with the coolest aspect of the car; it’s rarity. The car was only produced for two years, though the true rarity and charm come from its manual transmission. Have found little existence of another Dodge 400 manual trans existing ever. She’s a slice of American history, and this becomes very apparent every time you get behind the wheel.
I had the vinyl top reupholstered, and it looks great. Had the carb rebuilt in February, new ball joints, and other regular maintenance as needed. Is a very amusing car to drive. Keeps things interesting.
She leaks oil, so it’s good to top the oil off once a month or so. Also, the trunk doesn’t open at the moment. Elgin Lock & Key said it’d be $50 to fix it, but I never got around to it.
I’m not asking collector price, just hoping it’ll find its way to someone who will enjoy her as much as I have. Just bought a Ranger and no longer have the space. Will also consider a trade for a running motorcycle.
