“Selling my 1991 Mitsubishi Delica L300 4×4 turbo diesel van. Please be aware this is very much in project mode and has some issues with the engine, please read on for details. We’ve owned this since 2013 and was imported from Canada. It ran great up to the point when I felt some power loss and what I suspect to be a cracked cylinder head (typical problems for Delicas) I did a full top end rebuild thinking it was a blown turbo but the problem still persisted. I just don’t have the time to finish the project and hate to see it just sit. A new cylinder head is about 500 bucks so this could be an easy fix for the mechanically inclined or take it to a diesel repair shop.
The tires are on the newer side with lots of tread, and the wheels have been increased to 16” for a higher stance and top speed. There’s lots of add on’s including inline fuel heater so no fuel gelling, turbo timer, new redtop high amp battery, external oil filter. This is the exceed model which has the cool box to chill drinks, cd player and crystal lite roofs (six mini skylights).
They’re great in the snow and off road with high and low 4×4 and pretty good on fuel mileage. We took this all over the country, including Baja Mexico.
I’m only selling because we want to get into a camper, please no low ball offers, but I am open to trades particularly small rv’s or scamp 5th wheels. This can easily be one of the cheapest Delica’s with some engine work. I have a full detailed 3rd party inspection done and can email upon request.===
