“Hi testing waters on my baby. 2006 MK5 GLI 2.0T 6-speed with 117k miles, bought the car with one owner in 2012 and only put 25k miles on it over 6 years due to not having to use it as a daily for my job. Only thing ive had to replace since I had it was a wheel bearing, control arms & now just replaced the altenator. Inside is very clean besides a small tear on driver seat from pants rubbing orher than that all seats are like new hardly ever had people in the back seats. Dual climate control, heated seats & sunroof.
Only thing ive done to it is add rally armour mud flaps, spacers, forge diverter valve, koni struts, fuel filter, removed my resonator & added a dual 3 in. Exhaust & also a boss audio touch screen radio. Car sounds great for not even having a intake. It will come with the Alzor staggered deep dish wheels.
The cars paint is extremely clean for its age but it has its little imperfections like any other. I re touched all the little body work in 2014 and everything held up great except the one passenger front fender & driver side door jam(small) started to get paint bubbles. I looked online & you can buy a fender for fairly cheap (might as well buy two) and just have them replace them both an clean up – grind down the small spot near the door jam & then just paint them they come already primed. After that the cars body will be pretty much perfect.
Things I’d replace in future:
– Change the brake pads theyre fine right now no grinding or anything but if your a heavy driver youll need to eventually.
– Back left window regulator stopped working but didnt bother me enough to fix.(all others work)
– AC started blowing warm, maybe fan related or needs a charge.Like I said car was babied since Ive had it synthetic oil changes every 3k, premium gas only every fill up & mostly all miles came from weekend cruises. The car was never beat on. Overall the car looks great & is a eye catcher, ready to go for performance mods or to just keep as is. Selling for $3,500 firm. In no rush to sell. No trades & if your going to low ball dont even waste your time.
