Title: Clean, and In-handI’ve owned the car since June/July of 2015 at 104,200 miles. Since then, I had done a number of service items and upgrades listed below. I’ve enjoyed the car but I’m moving onto something else. I drive the car ~150/week so the mileage will go up until sold.
Car is sold as-is. Below are several things that were next on the list to tackle of known issues::
– Paint and body is a 10-footer. While the car only averages <8,000mi/yr, it's still going on 18 years of age and has its fair share of rock chips and wear. I'd want to retouch the front end and rear bumper - Sunroof currently not working. I believe the unit just needs to be connected because it worked before getting the sagging headliner replaced -- i just haven't had time to drop the unit and confirm. - Interior passengerside side sill trim has a crack in the plastic - Center console, still opens and closes but one bracket broke - Cupholder on the dash, the center piece that retains the cup, its spring broke off - Car only came with one key, been wanting to get a spare just in case - Rip in shift boot - 1cm tear on the rear seat - Tossed around the idea of taking it to stage 3 but I live in CA and the emission rules suck History. I'm the 3rd owner of the car. From what I was told from the 2nd Owner, he bought the car at 100,421 from the family of an older gentleman who had gone into hospice. Apparently, the older gentleman was a NASA engineer and continued working with NASA until his later years until he got ill. The car sat for a few months before the 2nd owner was able to purchase from the family. The 2nd Owner listed vehicle again for sale 9 months after purchase because he found and purchased another B5 S4 Avant in Nogaro Blue.
