$16,200 – :
“The van was converted by an engineer enthusiast with incredible talent here in Portland in April of 2008.
1987 Vanagon GL 2wd Weekender w/Wolfsburg edition which includes folding “Z-bed”, rear-
facing removable jump-seats and wall panel which has a swing out table and some other goodies.Conversion motor is a 2003 Subaru 2.5 Impreza w/60,000miles. The heads were shaved and shimmed per Subaru recall including new gaskets. Timing belt now has 30,000miles.
Smallcar engine/trans adapter and amended (original) wiring harness/ecu controls and a number of other conversion parts including the engine rack, steel oil pan, stainless steel coolant pipes and Hall speed sensor. Has 2-1/2″ headers into a Porsche exhaust pipe. Custom stainless 3″ cold air intake.
The automatic transmission was overhauled in 2014 and upgraded to a 3:27 ring and pinion.
Transmission oil cooler and separate engine oil cooler. New fuel pump. New wiper delay w/infinite settings (really neat).
18″ Porsche ‘twisties’ wheels with custom spacer adapters means 8″ wide fronts 10″ wide rears.
The wheel mod including the wheels and tires was $2800Professionally tinted windows. Original paint.
Headlight relay upgrade w/new alignment parts and vinyl shatter protectors.
New abs plastic Interior door panels. Sound dampening material throughout.
Newer ok stereo and amplifier. 6.5″ in the door and 6×9″ speakers in rear. I have original hanging rear speakers. There are some areas of rust and one area on a seam and the fiberglass bumpers are cracked here and there.
I can include a Yakima rack system three sets of cross bars w/towers. Also have original wheels w/tires.
An unexpected move forces my hand and I must sell. Firm on price.
