“A good running project for the MB enthusiast: 1990 Mercedes-Benz 300CE pillarless coupe. M104 DOHC, 24-valve 2,964-cc engine with CIS-E continuous fuel injection. 10:1 compression ratio. 217 hp at 5,500 RPM and 195-lb.ft. of torque at 4,600 RPM.
Front headlights and hood are upgraded to look like 1994. Prior service in 2013 included: Head gasket. Motor mounts and transmission mount. Eberspacher Stainless Steel exhaust mid section and rear section. Well sorted front suspension: new Bilstein shocks, tie rods and center link. Transmission oil cooler bypassed. New fuel filter with some new fuel lines. OEM MB battery. Becker 10 disk CD changer and radio. Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position all season tires. Front end alignment. Brakes and rotors (MB OEM) have been replaced but the car has not been used in a few years and are currently a bit rusty.
Known issues: Occasional reverse (transmission works only in forward gears). The clear coat on the front hood is peeling. Front headlight wiper fell off, but the part is included in the sale. Small piece of front bumper trim is missing. Small hole on left rear light. No cruise control. AC is not functional. Heat works. Radio works. The engine is in running condition, but the car has not been driven on the road in about 5 years.
