“1984 TVR Tasmin/Chevrolet LT1 V8 conversion with accompanying Camaro 6 speed manual transmission. Engine has aluminium heads and is rated @ approximately 300 hp. Remanufactured ECU unit with a number of updating components. Just over 46,000 original miles on the TVR Chassis. Chassis is tubular steel space frame construction with minimal surface blemishes and in very good structural condition. Body is hand laid fiberglass construction with minor stress cracks usual to fiberglass bodies and recently repainted black with wide gold stripe on hood and trunk lid. Wheels are upgraded ‘RTX POISON’ 5 spoke alloy in excellent condition. Tires are 17” ( Front = 205/40ZR/17 – Rear = 225/40ZR/17) Steel Belted Radials with no cuts or cracks with only about 10% wear on each tread. New brakes all around including park brake. Interior is in very good original condition. Many other miscellaneous mechanical improvements to make car fit for recent inspection for Ontario Safety Standards Certificate which was issued in February 2019
This car is in running and driving condition and has seen about 1500 miles since completion. It still requires some additional sorting and tuning to button up the engine swap and realize the full potential of the 5.7 litre LT1 V8 engine and the Camaro transmission. The swap utilizes mostly GM wiring and components so it should be familiar to anyone comfortable working with the 1990’s era LT1 set-up.
