$3,500 – new Smyrna Beach, FL:
“First and foremost, CURRENTLY NOT RUNNING. Offering my 1980 Rabbit Diesel for sale as I have other long term projects and not enough cash or space. This car was dragged from a Montana barn late last year and shipped to Florida where it got new wheel bearings, glow plugs, relays, switches, timing belt, tires, and cosmetic odds and ends, as well as a full detail. I daily drove this car for a few months until one morning it would not fire up. It has sat for a month or so and was one of those “I’ll get to it cars.” Luckily I’m not a hoarder (probably would be if I had the space) so I’m tossing onto market to see if anyone wants it worse than me in the sum of $3,500. This car is an extremely rare find considering it’s not a molested rusted turd, like most economy cars of this vintage are. The car is also in the very sought after and hard to find shade, LE6B. Aka mountain green. This car has been very well cared for. It hit a deer or something in Montana and it dented to the radiator support and hood. Some like to call it character. I’m from planet earth and sure it may give it character but it also sucks. The beautiful thing is it’s still original paint, so I embrace the car and it’s dent. The car has a cracked windshield. A new one is $100. Insurance in Florida will cover install if you have collision. I didn’t get to replacing it. This car has no rust being from Montana. The radio and blower and horn and all gauges work. The only thing that does not work is the clock surprisingly enough. It brakes and shifts through all 4 gears perfectly. The roof rack and floor mats don’t come with. My friend made the rack for me and my girlfriend bought me the mats. Surely they will see another car. If you have any questions please ask. Car has a clean Florida title in my name.
