“Hello everyone! Im selling a 1983 ROW Porsche 944. ROW means rest of world, this is a German originated car and was driven in Europe. The title is a NON USA California title and the car has been BAR’d for all 50 states since the 90s so don’t worry about registration or smog as its just like any other car and i will provide a smog before selling it. All emissions are on the car and it is legal to drive on the road. The ROW models do have higher compression pistons and its pretty torquey! I Dyno’d the 944 at SSworks in Modesto and she had 126 WHP and 140 WT. Very healthy motor and thats with the Cat and emissions on it.
I have a stack of documents and receipts dating back years and years. This year i did all major maintenance to the Porsche. This included the water pump/ Blue Kevlar timing belt,Balance shaft belt and all rollers, rotor, distributor cap, spark plugs, and spark plug wires. I also replaced the front shocks with Sachs about 500 miles ago.
Last time the engine was rebuilt was 2005 and clutch was done at that time also. Car has 22,000 miles on rebuild and clutch and about 1500 miles on the maintenance i did recently.
I recently wrapped the car in Autoflex, It will need a paint job but for now its respectable. I have pictures of before i wrapped it to for you also.
I replaced the rear bumper with an OEM PORSCHE bumper, tag is still on the bumper inside of it and i have the receipts for it also. This is of course a Euro car so bumpers are much better looking in my opinion and its a non sun roof car so thats cool. This cars solid and Ive driven it to santa cruz, LA, Las vegas, and Reno. Its a Drivers car, it loves to be driven!
Now for the fun part, obviously Im just touching on key points so call me if you want more info and grab a coffee because i can talk! So the car is turn key but it was my project. Reason im selling it now is because i was fortunate enough to be able to buy back my old 944 turbo and i cant have 2 944’s because of Space and Time and Money. These are ALWAYS project cars and they are never finished, if you’ve owned one you know what im talking about! I will give you a few options to choose from for buying my car but keep in mind im FIRM on my $8500 if you want everything. Ill just store it if i keep getting low ball offers.
IF you want to keep the 17” Euromister Fuchs that are on the car with brand new BFG tires, the 924 Turbo hood, the flat Momo Prototipo steering wheel, and the function first shifter and the standard late stye seats then the price for the 944 is $8500. Please note that the steering wheel and seats pictured are not the ones included in this price. Im putting in Late model in very good condition stander seats and a basically brand new flat prototipo wheel not the dished one. Ask for pictures if you need some, ill try to add them on the listing to. If you want the sport seats and steering wheel then add $2500 to the price making it $11,000.
IF you offer less than $8500 then the goodies start to come off. I can sell you the car with all of the original equpiment, so 15″ Cookie cutters on good BFGs, stock steering wheel, stock seats, no hood, stock shifter for $6000 i have a little wiggle room but not alot. I bought it for $6000 so not trying to loose to much money here. I already put a grand into maintenance this year.
This is a ROW 944 not your standard USA model. Its rare and trying to import one will be a pain and cost you WAAAAAY more than $8500 for a decent one. Please again there is no wiggle room on my price. Dont come to look at the car and think ill budge because your just wasting my time. If she doesn’t sell ill store it and enjoy the car at a later time when i have more pocket money. This is my 5th 944, and i hope to sell her to someone that loves these cars like i do!
