$11,000 – South Denver, CO:

“I have decided to part with my all-original, low mileage 1969 Jeep Wagoneer, affectionately known as “Grandma.” She was owned by a single family in Utah until about two years ago and garaged since 1989, and has impeccable “Western U.S.” ownership heritage. It is registered as a collector car and is emissions-exempt. A picture is worth a thousand words, so here’s a walk-around video:

She has the original, factory-optional 350ci/ 5.7L Buick “Dauntless” V8, with an advertised 230 hp/ 350 lb-ft tq. The motor was professionally rebuilt in 2015, including all new rings, bearings, gaskets, cam, lifters, push rods, and has less than 400 miles since break-in. The carburetor has been rebuilt, a new alternator installed, and an electric fuel pump and new fuel lines were recently added to ensure proper fuel delivery. I also own a later model Grand Wagoneer with all of the power-robbing smog equipment. This fires right up and has much more grunt.

She features a smooth 3-speed GM TH400 automatic transmission and true old-school four wheel drive (rear permanent, front engaged manually in off-road conditions). It also has new front and rear brakes, front and rear axle seals and bearings.

Grandma sports factory steel wheels with chrome hubcaps and new Hankook white wall tires fitted less than 300 miles ago. Badging, chrome, and trim show minor pitting but are complete and truly beautiful. The rear tailgate retains its externally-mounted manual factory rear window crank, and all windows and door locks function properly. Unrestored instrumentation includes a 110 mph speedometer and a five-digit odometer showing just 68,xxx miles. Also has a brand new, old stock white Jeep steering wheel, likely the last one in existence. Seriously, I found one with the tag on it from the 1960s, in the original box.

This is a well-preserved survivor full of character, history and fun. The Jeep’s original “Empire Blue” paint is faded to a unique and beautiful patina. As you can see, there is some bubbling/ rust-through in both rear quarter panels, which is typical of full-size Jeeps due to the design of the rear fenders. There is some rust in the floorboards, also a common issue in early Wagoneers, but no frame rot. New front floorboard sections can be obtained inexpensively and easily patched.

Mechanically this beauty is amazing condition, so it can either be restored to show-quality or left as is to simply enjoy this time capsule. I would love nothing more to keep her, but time, space, and financial constraints mean someone else gets to turn heads in this amazing machine. You won’t find a better original Jeep anywhere near this price, which is firm.

Do you want an electric car? No! You want to smell like gasoline. This classic has one carburetor, eight cylinders, and four-wheel-drive. You know that adds up to? Fun.

Please no dealers, I don’t need help selling.
