“Hello All,
Up for sale is my beautifully restored 1969 BMW 2002. I am the 3rd owner of this car and it has spent its entire life in the San Francisco Bay Area. The long time 2nd owner had it restored in the 1990’s and it has been garage stored and pampered since then.
During its restoration, the car was repainted in its original Granada red color and the interior was done at the same time. This is a sunroof car (works perfect). At this time also, the motor and transmission were swapped for a 1982 fuel injected motor and 5-speed transmission. This was a legal swap with documentation.
There are minor upgrades on the car that do not make it original. The wheels have been upgraded (powdercoated) and the steering wheel as well other interior items are not original to the ’69. I do not have any of the original parts for this car.
This is an original CA black plate car (front and rear).
The car currently has front disk brakes. This car really needs nothing but a driver. It is a fantastic driver and a blast to drive. The car shows incredibly well and there is nothing I would really change on it. I just don’t drive it enough and would rather see someone enjoy it fully that have it sit in the garage. There is no rust on the car.

The BMW 2002 US VIN 166xxxx was manufactured on April 30th, 1969 and delivered on May 07th, 1969 to the BMW importer Hoffman Motors Corp. in New York City. The original colour was Granada, paint code 023.
