$15,000 – Austin, TX:
“Thanks for checking out my M3. Reluctantly putting it up for sale. Here goes:
You are looking at an awesome Technoviolet (purple) 1999 M3 that has been fully prepped to enjoy the race track. I have the original books, folder, and even the original window sticker. All 3 keys as well. The car has 66,254 original miles on it. That’s not a typo- it has just over 66,000 miles.
This is a track car first and foremost, though it is also completely street legal. Most of the factory interior has been removed from the dash back. It does still have the A/C, cruise control, and power windows/locks as well as functioning turn signals, horn, etc.
The car has NO issues passing TX inspection. You can drive it to/from the track easily. Carpet is fully removed. The headliner and sunroof cassette are also fully removed (a CF sunroof insert panel is installed, and it does not leak). The rear seat has been completely removed, along with the rear side trim and the back window shelf trim. The trunk carpet and insulation have been completely removed.
The car ‘could’ be put back to a fully stock interior, but it would be one hell of a job. Every time I thought about doing it, I talked myself out of it.. Nuf said there. You may feel differently than me on this one.
The car runs fantastic and has never let me down on the road or the track. I’ve done a handful of DE weekends with it at COTA and 1 more at TWS. Never had a single issue of any type. It doesn’t matter if the temperature is 100+, or if it’s raining, or, well you get the picture. This is a very solid car that was built with reliability (and performance) in mind. No expense spared in the build. When it isn’t at the track or taking a lap around Lake Travis, it’s in my garage under cover.
Recently had the entire suspension fully updated to a Ground Control E36M setup sku’d towards track/race vs. street. It sits low, doesn’t lean, and drives wonderfully tight. This was a pretty big expense and is reflected in the asking price.
The only issues with the car I can point out are a ‘garage ding’ on the front/center portion of the hood, and the paint on the hood is getting a bit dull as compared to the rest of the car. The tires are getting old, but they have plenty of tread so I’m leaving them be.
Car is located in Cedar Park, TX. I’m happy to show it to serious parties. Don’t need help selling it so if those folks will please abstain from contacting me it would be appreciated. Not interested in trades.
Asking $15,000. You won’t find a nicer E36 M3 with this level of track preparedness, or anywhere even close to the mileage of this car. Please keep in mind it has a new/complete suspension rebuild which cost me close to $3.5K.
Many more pics available for seriously interested parties. Prefer to meet in person and show the car live, however.
